Exercise equipment is a device or apparatus used during the process of physical activity to enhance body strength or for conditioning of the body by providing adjustable or fixed amounts of resistance. Types of equipment

•    Free Weights- These are the simplest form of bodybuilding tools and equipment. These weights are called as free weights because they are not attached with cables, pulleys, weight stacks or pins. They consist of dumbbells, barbells, weight plates etc.

•  Barbells- A barbell is usually 5 to 7 feet in length on the ends of which weight pates are placed. These exercises are usually performed by grabbing the barbell using both the hands.

•    Machines- With the help of machines, you can perform wide varieties of bodybuilding exercises. Some machines concentrate on an individual muscle and some covers whole body. There are various types of machines like leg press machine, hack squat machine, leg extension machine, leg curl machine, treadmills, cycles, etc.

•    Accessories- Accessories like gloves, wrist straps, wraps and belts are used.
