What is a TENS machine?

TENS stands for Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation. This product is used to cure pain and is used by physiotherapists. However, you can purchase this product and use it at home. In basic words, the TENS machine will stimulate the nerves through an electric current through the skin and will help heal any pain.

Make sure when you buy physiotherapy equipment online India, you consult your therapist before you purchase anything. Also, learn how to use the equipment properly rather than just randomly trying it on your own. TENS machine provides great results for short term and temporary pain. It is controlled in two different ways: -

1. Sensory level – There is a gate control of pain, which basically means that the electric input of the machine comes in transmission with the pain signals and blocks them through a gate from which your pain travels.
2. Motor level – This stimulation is basically done to release the things that are holding up and causing immense pain. You can achieve quick results by using one of the two methods.
